The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has been at the forefront of digital transformation in India, streamlining corporate compliance and governance through the MCA21 platform. As the first Mission Mode e-Governance Project under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP), MCA21 has significantly improved the efficiency of corporate filings, fostering a business-friendly environment. MCA has witnessed a significant surge in corporate filings through its MCA21 portal, reinforcing its commitment to digital governance and Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) in India. Between April 1, 2024, and January 27, 2025, a total of 80.26 lakh forms were filed on the MCA21 platform, marking an increase from 73.29 lakh filings in the corresponding period of the previous year. Notably, the newly developed MCA21 V3 platform accounted for 53.08 lakh filings, up from 47.72 lakh in the prior year, highlighting the platform’s growing adoption and efficiency.

MCA21 is India’s first Mission Mode e-Governance Project under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP), operational since 2006.
